New Beginnings

I never knew how much I loved to cook and bake until I had to start cooking and baking!  On January 1, 2002 my husband and I got our first apartment and I was thrust into all things domestic.  I never went food shopping with my mother and didn’t ever have to cook for myself.  The food store quickly became a retreat.  I loved walking up and down all the aisles exploring all the different types of ingredients and trying new things.  In October 2004 we purchased our first house and the run really began.  We bought a fixer-upper to say the least and I was lucky to be able to gut and redesign a brand new kitchen.  I’ve been known to spend an entire day in the kitchen baking - my favorite days, especially rainy ones.  I’m fortunate to have a husband that loves to try new things and thinks that everything I make is the best thing he ever had.  I don’t believe him but it’s a lie I’m willing to live with :)

I recently heard about 101 things in 1001 days.

The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).

Expanding my cooking and baking was top on my list and what better way to keep track then right here to keep me motivated!
